The operatives of the Nigerian Army, on Monday foiled an attack on a Faith Academy located at Mararaban Rido, Chikun Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State.

The school which is owned by the Living Faith Church, a gospel ministry founded by Bishop David Oyedepo came under attack by some armed bandits in the early hours of Monday.

According to reports, the armed bandits broke part of the perimeter fencing to gain entry into the school premises.

However, soldiers were able to repel the attack as well as secure the students who were learning during the attack.

Meanwhile, one of the parents who spoke with the members of the press confirmed the incident. The parent said the school management had met and planned to relocate some of the students to an undisclosed location “to continue with their preparation for their exams.” He said.

This is coming a few hours after the news of the kidnapping of students of Bethel Baptist school, Kaduna on Monday.

The New Diplomat had reported that an unspecified number of students of Bethel Baptist School located in Maraban Rido, Chikun LGA of Kaduna state were abducted by some armed bandits.

It was learnt that the school was invaded at about 2am on Monday by the bandits, while shooting sporadically into the air before kidnapping the students.
