Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, has congratulated the newly sworn-in leaders of 10th National Assembly, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, Senator Jibrin Barau, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu on their elections as the Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Speaker of the House and Deputy Speaker of the House respectively.
He said “the unity of purpose exhibited in the past few days and today by members of the 10th Assembly, across partylines, presents the desired serenity in cementing our national unity and I trust this leadership to synergize with the Executive for the “Renewed Hope” project of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.”
In the same vein, the immediate past Minister of Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, SAN, congratulated “the uncommon Governor, Senator, Minister (GSM) and now Senate President with whom I had an excellent relationship in the Ministry of Niger-Delta Affairs in the last dispensation. Expect some uncommon moments at the National Assembly with the brand new Senate President, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio!”
