Heirs Technologies, a subsidiary of Heirs Holdings, has appointed Dr. Fumbi Chima, a former Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Adidas, Fox Network Group, and Burberry Corporation, as its Chair.

In a statement released on Thursday by Heirs Technologies, Dr. Chima said she is confident that the company will make a significant impact, leading to improvements in lives and transformative changes across the continent.

She said: “I am pleased to be a part of this movement to unlock Africa’s potential. Having worked in technology leadership roles across global organisations, I am confident that Heirs Technologies will create impact that will improve lives and transform the continent.”

Before her appointment, she served as CIO in global companies, including Adidas, Fox Network Group, Burberry Corporation, Walmart Stores Inc. Asia business operations, and American Express’ Global Corporate Technologies.

Also, the company appointed Mr. Obong Idiong as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Mr. Idiong, a former MD/CEO at Africa Prudential Plc, said that the company is committed to bridging the gap between Nigeria’s technology industry and the international market by providing solutions tailored to local needs while also meeting global standards.

Idiong stated: “We are proud to bring Heirs Holdings’ core values and business approach to the tech sector, leading with excellence, execution, and enterprise. We are committed to bridging an enormous gap in the technology ecosystem by delivering local relevance to a global market and offering cutting-edge solutions to enable our customers to become more competitive”.

According to the statement, Idiong, while at Africa Prudential Plc, spearheaded the digital transformation of registrar services and repositioned it as an agile and technology-driven organization.

He has held a series of senior management roles at United Bank for Africa Plc and Heirs Holdings Limited.
