The Abia state Labour Party Governorship candidate, Alex Otti has promised to invest heavily in the education sector if he eventually wins the 2023 general election.

The LP candidate who made this assertion during the Aro festival on Wednesday Arochukwu, Orlu local government area, promised to build more conducive classrooms and create an enabling environment for both teaching and learning.

Otti also promised to support indigent students through offer of scholarship and regular payment of bursaries to assist students in tertiary institutions in their studies.

The seasoned banker turned politician disclosed to supporters at the Arochukwu civic center, that his administration would ensure regular and prompt payment of teachers in the state.

Otti who promised to cater for the welfare of teachers in the state, said he would ensure that their monthly take home pay would truly meet their needs, adding that upon assumption of office, the teachers’ salaries would be reviewed to meet the demands of current economic challenges.
The LP candidate further assured the people of Abia that schools’ libraries and laboratories would be equipped with modern books and equipment.
He, however, enjoined Abians to cast their votes for the Labour Party
