Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has prayed God to console the family of the late Commissioner of Special Duties, Barr Monday Onyeazonwu over his untimely death.

Speaking during a condolence visit to the family of the late Special Duties Commissioner, Governor Wike said that the family will not be abandoned.

The governor who was represented by the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Hon Kenneth Kobani said that the administration will be with the family at the time of their grief.

He described the late Commissioner of Special Duties as a dedicated politician who contributed his quota to the victory of the PDP in the state.

He regretted that the late Commissioner did not stay to witness the transformation of Rivers State, which he worked hard to bring to fruition.

He said: “We have come on the instruction of His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Governor Wike to pay the family this condolence visit. We understand that is not only our colleague who has passed on, but also his wife. This is a tragedy beyond comprehension.

“We believe that God will console the family. Be consoled by the fact that the late Commissioner and his wife are with God. ”

He prayed God to protect the family the Commissioner and his wife left behind.
