The father of Executive Governor of Ogun, Dapo Abiodun has been reported dead.

Dr. Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun died on Monday after a brief illness at the age of 89.

A statement released Monday by the family in Iperu-Remo, Ogun state revealed that the deceased was an educationist who worked as a school teacher for many years across the old Western State.

The statement said further that baba was fondly called “Baba Teacher” due to his dedication to duty imparting knowledge and inculcating the right values in his students.

Governor Abiodun who also confirmed his father’s demise in a statement noted that further announcements would be made by the family in due course.

Dr. Abiodun, a devout Christian, is survived by his wife, Mrs Victoria Abiodun, many children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members, including Governor Dapo Abiodun.
