The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, Congratulated the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tunubu on the conferment upon him of the highest national honour.

Sanwo-Olu in his congratulatory message said Nigeria is set to witness a new dawn with the Tinubu/Shettima administration.

In his words, “It was a historic moment in our dear country as we witnessed the investiture of National honours, and the handover of transition documents from the outgoing President of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari to the incoming President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR).

“The President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was conferred with the National Honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR), and in the same vein, the Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima (GCON) was conferred with the National Honour of the Grand Commander of the order of Niger.

“Hearty congratulations to the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he was handed the baton of leadership during the event.

“Nigeria is set to witness a new dawn as he will be officially sworn in on May 29th.”
