Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello, has been listed among nominees for the deputy governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos ahead of the 2023 election.

Recall the Lagos State chapter of the party unveiled five names, in which one will be selected as potential running mate to the party’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Abdulaziz Olajide Adeniran, aka Jandor.

Other candidates include; former governorship aspirant, Gbadebo Rhode-Vivour, former senatorial candidate for the Lagos East, Yeye Shobajo, another governorship aspirant, Engineer Teslim Balogun, a former governorship aspirant, David Kolawole Vaughan, also known as Dakova.

The development has sparked mixed reactions on the micro-blogging platform Twitter making her name Funke Akindele one of the top trends on Twitter.

Recall, the actress, is currently going through a marital crisis as her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, known professionally as JJC Skillz, recently announced that they have separated.
