President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially announced the appointments of board Chairpersons and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) for a total of 42 federal organizations.

Additionally, Tinubu has made public the appointment of a secretary to oversee the board of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services.

Among those appointed are renowned Nigerian international affairs scholar and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, who was tapped as the Chairman of the board of the National Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Lagos State.

Also, Tinubu appointed the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Ganduje, as Chairman of the Federal Airport Authority in the Ministry of Aviation.

The National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka was named to chair the board of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

This is contained in a State House release issued on Thursday by the president’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, all the appointments take immediate effect.

The statement reads in part: “The President has also appointed a new Managing Director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a Director-General for the National Board for Technology Incubation.

“President Tinubu directs the board chairpersons not to interfere with the management of the organizations, emphasizing that their positions are non-executive.”
