article-2626019-1DC4E56400000578-778_964x630Barely 11 hours after suspected members of the deadly Islamist sect, Boko Haram attacked a mosque in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, another suicide bomb explosion which occurred at a Jummat Mosque in Jambutu, Jimeta, Yola, the Adamawa state capital, has left at least 18 Muslim worshippers killed about 60 injured.

A witnesses said the blast occurred immediately after the jumuah prayers commenced on FridayThe National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the figures.

Survivors said the teenage bomber who disguised as worshipper detonated the explosives in the premises after failing to reach the main building.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Adamawa, DSP Othman Abubakar confirmed the death of many worshippers in the suicide bombing.

Rescue workers have started evacuating corpses and wounded victims to the Federal Medical Centre, Yola in several pick up trucks.

Spokesman of hospital, Adamu Dodo said the hospital had received several victims in critical conditions appealing for blood donation from members of the public.
