Social media has been flooded with tribute to Carl Ikeme following the announcement of his retirement from professional football.
After being diagnosed with acute leukaemia in 2017, Ikeme has battled cancer for almost a year with support from the football world.
In June, the shot-stopper gave a positive health update that he was in complete remission, and now, he is set to hang his gloves.
During the course of his professional career, the 32-year-old made 200 appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers and had loan spells at eight other clubs including Leicester City, Sheffield United and Queens Park Rangers. He also played 10 games for Nigeria.
His club Wolverhampton Wanderers led with a tribute with an announcement on its Twitter handle.

West Bromwich Albion followed, @WBA Wishing you all the very best in the next chapter of your life, Carl.
