There have been barrage of reactions from the Nigerian Twitter Community following reports that a missing young lady identified to be Miss Iniobong Umoren is dead.

Hiny Umoren has been trending on the Twitter space owing to the reports that she was missing. The hastag #FindHinyUmoren was subsequently created for the purpose of calling out to the security agencies to find the missing young lady.

It all began when a friend of Umoren identified to be Happiness Activist took to her twitter handle (@UmohUdak) to call for help after her friend, Umoren went missing during a job interview in Akwa Ibom.

According to Happiness, her friend went missing on April 30.

Happiness tweeted, “Y’all my friend @HinyHumoren is in trouble and she needs our help.

“I’m currently in Lagos and I can’t help than to put this out there.

“Earlier today(April 30) she told me she was going for a job interview at airport road which is quite far from her house.

“To cut everything short, she sent me a 1sec audio record on WhatsApp and I had to call her back to know if she wanted to say something to me but immediately I called her I heard her screaming.

“Someone, please help her out.”

Meanwhile, checks revealed that two days before the incident happened, Umoren, a fresh graduate of the University of Uyo had taken to Twitter, seeking for a job.

She had tweeted, “#AkwaIbomTwitter please I’m really in need of a job, something to do to keep mind and soul together while contributing dutifully to the organisation. My location is Uyo, I’m creative, really good in thinking critically and most importantly a fast learner. CV available on request.”

However, Happiness, in an updated post, disclosed that the Police stormed the location housing her missing friend, however, Umoren was not found in the said location.

According to Happiness, the police arrested a man identified to be the father of the alleged abductor.

Her tweet reads, “The police bursted the said location, picked the kidnappers father that seems be aware of his son’s criminal activities. The man’s phone contains lot of information and they on their way back to the station. And my friend is no where to be found.  Y’all please stop yet..”

Additionally, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command, had disclosed that two suspects have been arrested in connection to the disappearance of Humoren.

Meanwhile, one Uduak Frank Akpan has been identified to be allegedly responsible for the abduction of the young lady.

According to Happiness, Akpan allegedly kidnapped her friend and raped her.

Although, Akpan had since denied the allegations on his Facebook page. According to him, Umoren contacted him for job opportunity, of which he scheduled a meeting for them to discuss.  However, in his account,  Umoren didn’t make it to the meeting and all his efforts to reach her via telephone call was abortive.

However, on Sunday, Happiness broke the news of the demise of her missing friend.

In a multiple tweets, Happiness mourned the demise of her friend. According to her, Humoren was murdered and has been buried.

She tweeted,  “They killed my friend and they buried my friend.”

“She only went to look for a job. Jesus Christ.”

Since the news broke, the Nigeria Twitter Community has been buzzing with many reactions who are sad and angry about the development.

Reacting, former Senate President,  Dr. Bukola Saraki lamented the demise of Umoren. He described the news as devastating.

Saraki, who took to his official Twitter handle, however, prayed for the family and the friends of the deceased.
