The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Suleman Sabo, has been declared the winner of the Kuje Area Council chairmanship election.
The Returning Officer in the election, Sule Mahaji, made this announcement on Sunday morning.
Sabo polled a total of 13,301 votes while his closest rival, Sarki Hamidu, of the All Progressives Congress, polled 7,694 votes.
Sabo will now serve a second term in office as chairman of Kuje Council Area.
Also, INEC has declared the candidate of the PDP, John Gabaya, as the Chairman-elect of Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Gabaya was re-elected for a second two-year term after defeating his closest rival, Audi Shekwolo of the APC.
Gabaya scored 13,045 votes, while Shekwolo had 7,697 votes, according to the INEC Returning Officer, Amochi Madu, who announced the result on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Jubrin Abubakar, won the Gwagwalada Area Council at the Saturday Council elections.
Abubakar polled a total of 11,125 votes to defeat his closest rival Mohammed Kassim of the PDP, who polled 9,597 votes.
