Nigerian celebrities, Falz and Runtown have joined other youths to protest for the scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force.
This is occurring a few days after rapper Naira Marley made a last-minute cancellation of his much anticipated EndSARS protest, fellow celebrities Runtown and Falz have picked up the mantle.

The entertainers who announced that the protest will be taking place on Thursday, October 8, kept to their words as they hit the streets of Lagos to protest against the disturbing activities of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives in the country.
Falz and Runtown were joined by other social media influencers, youths who have had enough of police brutality in the country.Falz and Runtown

Protesters made sure to keep COVID-19 preventive measures as they were all seen wearing nose masks.
Pictures and videos from the protest which have surfaced on social media captured the youths raising placards with wordings that condemned SARS menace and how youths are threatened by those who are supposed to keep them safe.
It will be recalled that Lauretta Onochie, Special Assistant to Buhari on New Media recently condemned the voices of Nigerians calling for the end of Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
Onochie in her first response recently described the protest as a “coordinated attack by cybercriminals”. And again on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 she described the request by Nigerians as an “unachievable goal.”

While quoting the statement by the Nigeria Police Force in 2017 and 2020, Onochie insists that target should be place on punishing erring officers and not to scrap the squad.
