English Premier League giant, Manchester United, and Italian Serie A leader, Juventus all secured vital wins while Spanish side, Barcelona fresh from a two-all draw with Celta Vigo over the weekend recorded yet another draw.

United brushed Brighton aside three-nil with a vibrant all-round display as their pursuit of a Champions League place gathered further momentum.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side dominated the contest at the Amex Stadium and extended their unbeaten run to 15 games to move up to fifth in the Premier League, two points adrift of Chelsea.
