An eight-year-old boy who preferred to stay anonymous has written an open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari over the current #EndSARS violence and killings in Nigeria.

The eight-year-old child expressed sadness as he pleaded with President Buhari to put an end to the current killings across the country, noting that the images that are surfacing on the social media are frightening.

His reaction comes amid several calls from citizens, asking Buhari to address the nation on the current situation in the country.

On Wednesday, just a day after terror was unleashed on peaceful protesters in Lekki by Nigerian soldiers, former President Olusegun Obasanjo had in a letter urged the President to act now before it’s too late.

  • The 8-year-old boy wrote:

“Mr President please stop this killing. People are sad, angry, crying they are even insulting you.”

“Please I beg of you to end this let people live. People are forced to stay at home please stop this killing. Guns are meant to kill evil people not innocent you are the law, you are only meant to send bad people to jail.”

“I know you are not bad please. Everybody (has been) posting videos on YouTube,Twitter, Instagram even Facebook.”

“Please end this. Thank you and I know there is still good in you,” he wrote.
