In a somber yet dignified atmosphere, the Katsina State Police Command, in collaboration with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has deployed thousands of personnel to ensure a secure and orderly burial for the immediate past President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.

The late leader, who passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the age of 82 in a London clinic, will be laid to rest today, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, in accordance with Islamic rites.

The Katsina State Police Command, working under the leadership of the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Zone 14 Katsina, has rolled out extensive security measures across Daura and other strategic locations in the state.

Also, the Katsina State Commandant of the NSCDC, Aminu Datti, announced the deployment of 2,807 operatives ahead of the burial of the former president.

Commandant Datti disclosed this during a brief meeting with senior management staff of the command at the State Command Headquarters, Katsina State.

Datti also disclosed that Commandant General Abubakar Audi expressed deep grief over the passing of Buhari.
