Leader of APC Mainstream Delta, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has congratulated, President Muhammadu Buhari on his resounding victory in the just-concluded presidential election held across the country, just as he commended Nigerians for voting massively for him for a second term as Nigerian president.

Emerhor who stated this in a press release shortly after INEC officially declared Buhari as the winner of the election, noted that the President victory was well-deserved, adding that it was due to his monumental achievement in his first tenure.

It would be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari was declared winner of the February 23 presidential election by INEC with over 15 million votes, and beating his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar to second place with over 11 million votes.

He said: “We had no doubt that your victory was sure and well deserved in view of your visible monumental achievements in your first four years.

The foremost leader of APC in Delta State also thanked Nigerians for reposing huge confidence in President Buhari and expressing so with their overwhelming votes for him in the election.

“We in APC Mainstream Delta are particularly grateful that Nigerians choose progress over moving backwards, and have by their votes, affirmed the direction that President Buhari is taking our dear country”, Emerhor said.

Emerhor also thanked members and executive of the 4000 Canvassers for President Buhari for their immense contribution to the victory of President Buhari in the state, pointing out that the 221,292 votes garnered for him in Delta State, was not only for the first time, but quite remarkable in the South South.

According to him, “At last, Delta State APC has shown that it is on ground and cannot carry last. We are proud and elated to have contributed over 25% to the reelection of our President away from our 2015 performance.”
