The Department of State Services, DSS, has admitted that the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele, is now in its custody.

In a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya, on Saturday, the security outfit said DSS can confirm that Mr Emefiele, was taken into custody for investigative reasons.

“The public, particularly the media, is enjoined to apply utmost caution in the reportage and narratives concerning this,” it said.

It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu yesterday, Suspended the CBN governor following ongoing investigation against the head of the nation’s premier bank.
