The National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE  has supsended its strike.

The strike was embarked upon to draw federal government’s attention to the plight of its members.

Report has it that following a meeting with officials of the Federal Government, the union agreed to discontinue the one-day old strike.

Comrade Joe Ajaero, National President of NUEE said the understanding came about following the outcome of the meeting where the workers’ grievances were addressed.

He explained, “We have concluded deliberations and all issues were addressed but we are awaiting implementation. Meanwhile, our strike action is suspended.”
