The newly elected President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, apparently still basking in the euphoria of his victory over Kamala Harris, has turned the Democratic party to the butt of his subtle jibes.

This is as the President-elect has taken to his verified X handle to post a tongue-in-cheek remark, rallying his numerous supporters to make financial contributions towards alleviating purported debt the opposition party incurred during its electioneering.

According to Politico, despite raising over $1 billion, the Harris-Walz campaign reportedly faces a $20 million deficit. The business-cum politician described what the Democratic party is experiencing as “financial strain” adding that his supposed effort is a step towards unity in a politically fractured America.

He said: ā€œI am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight in the 2020 Presidential Election, raising a record amount of money, didn’t have lots of $’s left over. Now they are being squeezed by vendors and others.

ā€œWhatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do. We have a lot of money left over in that our biggest asset in the campaign was ā€œEarned Media,ā€ and that doesn’t cost very much. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!ā€

Trump’s campaign, which reportedly boasts a financial surplus, attributed its success to ā€œearned media,ā€ a cost-effective approach that leans on viral social media posts, rally appearances, and high-profile interviews.

Trump claimed this tactic provided substantial public exposure without a hefty price tag, noting it was his campaign’s ā€œbiggest asset.

In contrast, the Harris-Walz campaign’s financial choices have raised questions within Democratic circles. According to the Washington Examiner, a significant sum was spent on a custom set for Harris’s appearance on the popular podcast Call Her Daddy in October.

Despite the investment, the episode garnered 822,000 views, falling short of expectations and paling in comparison to Trump’s appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, which amassed over 47 million views, a development that resulted in widespread criticism among some Democratic insiders.
