President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Nigerian Muslims on the occasion of 2024’s commemoration of the observance of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, the Maulud Nabiy.

This was made known in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The President urged the Muslim community to use the upcoming period for introspection and to reflect on the exemplary conduct and noble teachings of the Holy Prophet.

He also called on Muslims to observe the Maulud holiday as a time for prayer for the nation and to demonstrate empathy and compassion toward one another.

The statement reads in part: “As we mark the Maulud, we should all reflect on the life lived by Prophet Muhammad, exemplified by purity, selflessness, perseverance, kindness and compassion. We must endeavour to imbibe those virtues.”
