The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Senator Ahmed Makarfi’s Natonal Caretaker Committee, on behalf of the entire Organs of the Party and its Family nationwide, congratulate Nigerians on the Occasion of the Holy Festival of Eid El-Fitr.

Eid-El-Fitr Celebration which marks the End of Ramadan Season, affirms man’s commitment and total submission to the Will of God. We call on our Muslim brothers and sisters and indeed all Nigerians, to imbibe the culture of peace, tolerance, love, sacrifice and unity which culminates in this Occasion according to the Teachings of Prophet Muhammed.

We insist that Nigeria’s unity cannot be overemphasized! We therefore re-iterate on the Party’s Position for Nigerians peaceful co-existence irrespective of our political, social, cultural and religious differences; and urge all to eschew violence and stop all forms of provocative utterances that are capable of disintegrating us and detrimental to our peace and oneness.

It appears that the Celebration may be low-key nationwide due to the present harsh economic situation in the Country coupled with non performance of the APC led Administration that has made life difficult for most
Nigerians. Notwithstanding, we urge the citizens of this great Nation not to despair but to continue praying for God’s intervention.

we wish Nigerians a peaceful and joyous Celebration; and once again, we pray for the Recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari and his safe return to the Country.
