Former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, is currently being interrogated by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

It was gathered that the former governor turned himself in at the headquarters of the anti-graft agency in Abuja to answer questions over alleged diversion of public funds to the tune of N10billion.

A petition by Concerned Kano State Workers and Pensioners in 2015 had alleged that Kwankwaso violated the Kano State Pension and Gratuity Law of 2007 in the management of pension remittances amounting to about N10 billion contributed during his time as the governor from 2011 to 2015.

Meanwhile, the EFCC hasn’t released any official statement on the development as at press time.
