The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission today July 17th, 2017 arraigned the trio of Nuhu Malam Arung, Peter Audu Kwasau, and Jonah Lika before Honourable Justice Tukur Muazu of the Kaduna State High Court on a three count charge of Conspiracy, Obtaining by False Pretence and Issuance of dud cheque.

The accused persons allegedly obtained the sum of N3, 000,000 (Three Million) from the complainant by fraudulently claiming that they have a parcel of land for sale.

It was further alleged that after collecting the money from the complainant, the accused persons issued him with a post dated cheque which was returned unpaid on presentation due to lack of funds in the account.

The matter has been adjourned to November 2nd, 2017 for commencement of trial while the accused persons are to remain in prison custody pending proper application for their bail.
