The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Monday Okpebholo, has won Oredo Local Government Area, the local government of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.

Okpebholo polled 30,780 votes to defeat Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 24,938 Votes.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced another 45-minute recess.

17 local government results have been announced so far, leaving only 1 Local Government result outstanding.

The New Diplomat reports that the APC won a total of 11 out of the 17 local government results announced so far against the PDP who won 6 local governments.

As of now, APC’s Okpebholo has polled a total of 275,329 Votes, while PDP’s Ighodalo scored 220,892 votes, and Olumide Akpata of LP polled 18,737 votes.
