The gale of canidates’ endorsement continues in Edo as Hon. Yekini Idiaye, Deputy Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly, representing Akoko- Edo Constituency I, and four other members of the Assembly have pledged their support for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu, for the September governorship election in the state.

While receiving the lawmakers on Monday, Ize-Iyamu lamented what he called “disgraceful end to which Obaseki’s regime which claims popular support, has come, with the daily abandonment of his government by civil commissioners, chairmen of Boards and appointees.”

The APC candidate commended the lawmaker and others who had previously pledged their loyalty, for their steadfastness in choosing to remain in the APC on which platform they got elected.

He assured them that his Manifesto of Hope, Simple Agenda will be implemented to the letter in every part of the state when he gets elected.

Their support thus brings the numbers of elected members who have declared their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Edo Assembly to an overwhelming majority of 17.

The deputy speaker backed Ize-Iyamu’s candidacy alongside Hon. Emmanuel Agbaje, Akoko-Edo Constituency II, Hon. Nosayaba Okunbor, Orhiomwon East Constituency, Hon. Dumez Ugiagbe, Member-elect, Ovia North East Constituency I, and Mr. Vincent Uwadiae, Member-elect, Ovia North East Constituency II
