A former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Olumide Akpata who emerged winner in the Edo state Labour Party (LP) primary election held on Friday, has vowed to work for the good of the people of Edo if elected.

Mr. Akpata who polled a total of 316 votes to clinch the ticket, Friday, is set to run under the party’s umbrella as its governorship candidate in the gubernatorial elections come September 2024

The Chief returning officer of the primary and Deputy Governor of Abia State, Ikechukwu Emeta declared Akpata as the winner of the election, having scored the highest number of votes
