President of the United States, Donald Trump, has officially revoked the security clearances of Antony Blinken, immediate past Secretary of State and Jake Sullivan, former National Security Adviser during the administration of President Joe Biden.
This decision was announced by White House officials on Saturday.
It also comes a day after Trump revoked the security clearance of the immediate past President of the US, Joe Biden, stopping his access to daily intelligence briefings and classified information.
According to a press statement issued by the White House, Trump also sanctioned the revocation of the security clearances for Biden’s Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, who helped coordinate the Department of Justice’s response to the January 6, 2021, attacks on the US Capitol.
The statement also revealed that Trump revoked the clearances of New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
