Eminent diplomat-journalist and former Nigerian Ambassador to Thailand, Ambassador Oma Djebah, has extended warm congratulations to the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his 62nd birthday.

Ambassador Djebah, a top stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and two-time former Honourable commissioner for Information showered praises on the governor for his “leadership and remarkable strides in transforming Delta State.”

In a statement he issued at the weekend, Ambassador Djebah appreciated Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to the DTSG’s M.O.R.E. Agenda, which he maintained, has engineered significant progress in infrastructure, education, and youth empowerment in Delta State.

Djebah who described Oborevwori as a transformational leader said: “Over the past two years, your leadership has delivered a series of transformative projects that have reshaped Delta State.

“The multi-billion naira urban infrastructure overhaul in Warri–Effurun, including three major flyovers at PTI Junction, DSC Roundabout, and the hitherto chaotic Enerhen Junction, road expansions, and pedestrian bridges – is undeniably reshaping the metropolitan skyline of the Effurun axis.

“The completion of several kilometers of intra-city roads in Warri and its environs, extensive rehabilitation of roads across Udu, Okpe, Sapele, Ethiope West, and Okpanam–Ibusa bypass and other parts of Delta North and in Delta South are testimonies of the fulfillment of your MORE Agenda.”

The frontline diplomat-journalist also highlighted Oborevwori’s strides in the State’s civil service, as well as the health sector.

“Enhanced civil service welfare, including the recruitment of 3,000+ teaching & non-teaching staff, payment of promotion arrears, implementation of a new minimum wage, and a pension bailout for local council retirees are all part of the MORE Agenda that are visible to all.

“In the Health sector, the renovation of over 140 primary healthcare centers, upgrading general hospitals, and the provision of medical equipment are noteworthy.

“May your birthday attract renewed strength and wisdom as you continue to execute the MORE Agenda for the benefit of Deltans to the glory of God”, Djebah concluded.
