Despite the backlash that followed his previous plea to President Bola Tinubu to effect the release of Nnamdi Kanu, Nollywood star, Yul Edochie, son of legendary actor Pete Edochie, has paid another tribute to the President, wishing him a successful tenure.

The actor in a post on Twitter shared President Tinubu’s official portrait with touching words of prayer.

In his words, “I’ll keep praying for you, Sir @officialABAT for God to give you long life and good health to deliver the good plans you have for Nigeria.

“Nigerians have suffered so much And I believe you’ll wipe the tears and make Nigeria great again. Best of luck Mr. President. The Jagaban.”

It would be recalled that on June 27, the actor had pleaded with Tinubu to release Nnamdi Kanu.

In his tweet, he described the president as Jagaban, a man who has fought for democracy for 3 decades.

The tweet generated heated arguments from some Nigerians who took to his comment session to berate the actor for begging the president.

I don’t mean no insults but sincerely you’re not a true representation of your father Pete and all the good virtues and morality he represents. I hold Ebubedike to very high esteem but I have serious doubts and questions about you and your person.
