#EndSARS protesters on Wednesday barricaded the entrance gate of the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Complex forcing workers to scamper for safety.

The protesters demanded audience with the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to vent their anger over the injustice melted out on them by the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and other forms of police brutality on them.

Staff of the Assembly were not allowed to go out or enter the premises as the protesters set tyres on fire to drive home their grievances.

A source said when the protesters arrived, principal officers had left as there was no one to address them. This development, however, infuriated them.

“Before they came, principal officers have left. There was no one to address them. So, they set tyres on fire on the road,” the source said.
