The Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Aduge Okorodudu, is reported to have been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen.
The council chairman was seized along Mabiaku-Ajamimogha link road in Warri Government Reserved Area (GRA) after his driver was shot.
The driver, sources said though did not die, had sustained severe injuries from the gun shot and was rushed few minute before 7:pm Saturday night.

A source from the area said the chairman and his driver were the only one in the vehicle when the incident occurred.
“They were attacked along Mabiaku-Ajamimogha link road in Warri GRA. They were just two in the vehicle when the gunmen waylaid them. The driver was shot. They were returning from a function when the incident took place”, the source added.
State Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa, was not immediately available to comment on this report as of press time.
