A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and media mogul, Dele Momodu, has boldly declared that Nigeria is operating with “two presidents.”
According to Momodu, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike are purportedly directing the affairs of Nigeria together.
The PDP Chieftain made this assertion during an interview with Channels TV.
He claimed that the audacity displayed by Wike in his recent dealings has shown that he is governing Nigeria alongside Tinubu.
He said: “The President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has held Lagos since 1999 to date, has not been as audacious as Wike.
“In fact, right now, it’s looking like we have two Presidents in Nigeria.”
The New Diplomat reports that the catalyst for Momodu’s comments was the high-profile event where Tinubu lavished praise on Wike for the transformation of the International Conference Centre.
During the ceremony, Tinubu urged Wike to disregard his critics, labeling them “busybodies” and “bystanders.”
Reacting, Momodu added: “Wike can do anything. Yesterday, I listened to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Commander-in-Chief, calling fellow Nigerians busybodies.
“You are calling Nigerians busybodies all because of Wike.”
