The arms were uncovered on Tuesday in a container suspected to contain about 475  pump-action rifles.

This earlier discovery by the service was made at the Tin Can Island Port where a container loaded with 1,100 pump action rifles was uncovered.

The latest haul of arms also imported from Turkey, is believed to belong to the owner of the container with over 1,100 rifles.

It will be the fourth time this year that the service will be intercepting firearms, all said to have been imported from Turkey.

661 pump action rifles were intercepted by customs on March 10, followed by another set of 440 rifles seized on May 23rd and the last interception before the latest seizure happened on September 11 with a massive haul of 1,100 pump action rifles.
