A popular Nigerian disc jockey and producer, Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has explained why her father Femi Otedola splashed millions of naira to rent the Christina Onassis Super Luxury Yatch in celebration of his 60th birthday today, October 4 2022.
Cuppy replied her fans and critics via her verified Instagram page @Cuppymusic.
In her words, she disclosed that the reason her billionaire father, Femi Otedola splashed millions of pounds to rent a luxury yacht for his 60th birthday celebration was because her father, as a little boy, has always dreamt of visiting the iconic 99m super-yacht CHRISTINA O, because it was owned by his role model, Aristotle Onassis.
Her post read in part: ‘….To celebrate his 60th, not only did he visit the yacht, but he has chartered it for his loved ones so we can live here for the next three weeks. Looking at my father, I can see how happy, accomplished, and still in disbelief he is. This is what love looks like, family first,” she wrote.
Recall the Billionaire businessman stirred mixed reactions on social media after he splashed N2.2bn to rent Aristotle Onassis’ Christina O super luxury yacht that will sail for three weeks on the Mediterranean Sea.
Counting down to his birthday celebration, Otedola in a post on his Instagram page, shared several photos showing off moments with his family.
Otedola’s first daughter, Tolani, is a singer. She was born to Otedola and his former lover, Olayinka Odukoya.
Later, Femi married Nana Otedola and had two more daughters Florence Ifeoluwa and Elizabeth Temi and a son, Fewa. Florence Otedola, aka DJ Cuppy, is a DJ and music producer, as well as a tourism ambassador for Nigeria.
Her younger sister, Temi, is an actress, a style blogger and aspiring designer. Otedola has homes in Lagos, Abuja, Dubai, London and New York City.
