From Segun Amure, (The New Diplomat’s Abuja Bureau)

Ondo, Ebonyi and Borno states topped Nigeria’s Covid-19 tally on Sunday, 14th February with a total of 198 new cases as Nigeria recorded 520 new infections.

The figure marked a massive drop in cases when compared with the 1,143 cases reported Saturday. However, Nigeria’s Covid-19 hotspot, Lagos was conspicuously missing on the Sunday’s tally, explaining the reason for the drop.

This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on its official website.

The figure has brought the total number of confirmed cases in Ondo State to 2,274, while its discharged cases are 2,080 and 56 deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Borno state followed Ondo with 41 newly confirmed cases. In total, 1,179 cases have been confirmed in the state, 932 discharged and 38 deaths recorded.
