The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has added Thursday’s confirmed Covid-19 cases in Lagos to the national tally, taking the day’s figure to 1,400 new infections.

Before the update, the NCDC had earlier reported 864 cases with 3 deaths nationwide, excluding the figures recorded in Lagos on Thursday.

But in an updated version of its daily report, the agency has now announced that the country recorded 1, 400 new infections and 6 additional deaths from the contagion, Thursday.

The figure bring the country’s total cases to 127,560 while its discharged cases are 101, 511 its death toll has risen to 1550 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

However, Lagos led with 536 cases, FCT followed 129 cases and Anambra came third with 87.

In addition, Lagos State has so far recorded 47,471 cases with 302 deaths, FCT recorded 16,470 with 125 deaths and Plateau state had 7801 and 53 deaths.

Furthermore, 266 discharges were recorded in the country. 164 community recoveries in Kaduna State & 102 community recoveries in Plateau State.

The 1400 new cases are reported from 24 states- Lagos (536), FCT (129), Anambra (87), Rivers (82), Benue (80), Oyo (76), Plateau (61), Kaduna (54), Delta (51), Nasarawa (38), Kwara (36), Edo (32), Katsina (26), Kano (24), Taraba (18), Ogun (14), Sokoto (11), Gombe (10), Jigawa (7), Akwa Ibom (6), Cross River (6), Zamfara (5), Bauchi (5), Osun (4), and Ekiti (2)
