The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday reported that 10 people died from Covid-19 disease in the country.

This figure has taken the country’s death toll to 1813.

Meanwhile, cases fell drastically to 662 new infections on Friday, marking a huge drop as against the 869 recorded on February 17 and 877 on February 18. This is as figures reported in February indicate that the rate of the viral infection may be slowing down in Nigeria.

The Friday’s figure brings the total number of cases confirmed in Nigeria so far to 150,908 as the country’s discharged cases stood at 127, 500 across 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

According to NCDC, (535) community recoveries were recorded in Lagos State, (73) in Kaduna and (69) in Imo State.

Specifics:
The 662 new cases are reported from 23 states- Lagos (167), FCT (116), Ogun (45), Kano (44), Akwa Ibom (35), Edo (34), Rivers (27), Kaduna (23), Osun (23), Kwara (22), Taraba (22), Oyo (20), Ondo (19), Plateau (14), Abia (11), Imo (11), Nasarawa (7), Niger (6), Bayelsa (5), Delta (5), Enugu (3), Ekiti (2), and Jigawa (1)
