The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday, announced the nation recorded 21 deaths from the Covid-19 disease in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s death toll to 1694.

Following the Tuesday’s stats, Nigeria recorded 77 deaths between February 2-9 alone.

1056 new infections were added to the tally, bringing the country’s total number of cases to 141,447; 115,755 cases have been discharged and 1,694 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

Lagos, Osun and FCT led with a total of 450 cases.

Lagos led with (214) cases, Osun followed with (120) and FCT came third with (116) cases.

478 community recoveries were recorded in Lagos after managing them in line with NCDC guidelines.

NCDC stated that it will continue to support all states in curtailing the spread of Covid-19 in the country.

Specifics:
The 1056 new cases are reported from 22 states- Lagos (214), Osun (120), FCT (116), Plateau (88), Ebonyi (75), Kwara (73), Gombe (70), Ondo (57), Rivers (47), Akwa Ibom (38), Edo (25), Oyo (23), Kano (22), Delta (19) Katsina (18), Borno (16), Nasarawa (13), Ekiti (8), Ogun (8), Bauchi (4), Benue(1) and Jigawa (1)
