(A reply to a friend’s message)

Thanks my brother. I doubt that any industry will be spared the scourge and looming economic meltdown facing the world now or in the foreseeable future. Let the human race first survive this plague, before we start discussing business.

“There is a Natural Mystic blowing through the air. If you listen carefully now, you will hear .This could be the first trumpet, might as well be the last. Many more will have to suffer, many more will have to die. Don’t ask me why”. Things are not the way they used to be.”- Bob Marley (Exodus 1977).

Songs, like poems and paintings, are subject to ones (individual’s) interpretation and meaning.
Permit me therefore, to use that poetic license to draw a parallel to Bob Marley’s “Natural Mystic” song to current realities in our world today.

God’s wrath is certainly upon the world. The Bible in 2 Chronicles 7:14, says: “If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven above and heal their land”. The wickedness in the world today, has become so hellish, alarming and unbearable that mankind has to be reminded of the existence and supremacy of our most high God. The Creator of the Universe. The El Shaddai- The awesome and most Powerful Jehovah. The I am that I am.

Discussing recently with some young family millennials, they told me that there are now about 28 answers to the normal question of “Marital Status” for what hitherto had only 3 answers ie Single, Married, and Divorced.

Thank God that the Goodluck Jonathan administration, stood its grounds against Obama to legislate against homosexuality in Nigeria. Which carries a jail term of 14 years.

I can’t recount all of the 28 genders and sexual preferences but we now have gay marriages- man and man, woman and woman. Transgender, sex change from man to woman and vice versa, human beings getting married to dogs and other animals or having sex with animals- bestiality.

The sins committed in Sodom and Gomorrah pale in comparison with what is happening in our world today.

The Bible tells us that ALL have sinned and fallen short of His glory. One is not being judgmental here. Who am I to be?

We must return the Nations of the world back to God, the Creator of the Universe, so that we can call him Abba Father and be ready for the final day of judgement, which is fast approaching.

Where are the Super powers? USA, China, Russia, Britain, Germany, France, Canada etc. Why don’t they deploy their Trillion dollars worth massive nuclear weapons on COVID-19.

Where are the election riggers? Where are the treasury looters? They are free to rig and loot COVID-19.

One is certainly disturbed and worried about some of our irresponsible behavior towards this plague in Nigeria and how to avert its spread and contain it. Those returning to Nigeria from abroad have been advised to self isolate. No some are too big- bigger than the law and policies of the land. We have been advised to practice Social Distancing. No, that Church service must hold. Friday Mosque is a must. We have paid for Aso-ebi, therefore that Owambe must hold. It is a Governor’s birthday, therefore, all top government officials must attend to sing happy birthday. What a people? What a country?

If nothing in the past, such as the lessons of the civil war and the shedding of innocent blood in the country could change us as a people and the world, one hopes seriously that the COVID-19 pandemic would. Heaven will not fall if the entire world is on lockdown for 30 days. The mindsets of the human race, after this is over, should be reset, to how the Creator wants His world to be.

Now is the most auspicious time for all well meaning corporates and individuals to step forward and complement whatever efforts that the Federal government may be making to fight the scourge and bring succor to the suffering masses, by supplying Coronavirus testing kits, medicines, food stuff, hospital and other equipment.

The whole world, to say the least is in total turmoil and chaos. We have no where to run to, neither do we have a hiding place (“….There is no hiding place, from the power of creation”), except to “Hold unto God’s Unchanging Hands……..build your hope on things eternal…..” And to dwell under the shadow of His wings (Psalm 91). The world is in dire need of Prayers and Revival and to Turn from our wicked ways.

May God in His infinite mercy, hear our prayers and let our cry come unto Thee.
