Nigeria has recorded five hundred and seventy-one (571) new cases of COVID-19 pushing the total number of infections in the country to 32, 558.

This is according to the latest figures released on Sunday night in a tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official verified Twitter handle.

Lagos led the chart with 152 cases closely followed by Ebonyi with 108 cases and Edo with 53 cases.

Ondo had 46 cases, FCT-38, Oyo-20, Kwara-19, and Plateau-17. The quartet of Osun, Bayelsa, Ekiti, and Katsina recorded 14 cases each while the trio of Akwa Ibom, Kaduna, and Rivers recorded 11 cases each.

Others were Niger-10, Ogun-7, Kano-6, Cross River-4, and Bauchi with 2 cases.

13,447 patients have been discharged so far while the death toll stood at 740.
