Following the outbreak of the dreaded covid-19, the Federal Executive Council (FEC)meeting  of Nigeria is  being held  for the second time via digital or virtual method.

The first digitally conducted  FEC meeting was held last week Wednesday. The virtual option is being adopted as part of government strategies  to prevent the escalation of the dreaded coronavirus in Nigeria.

Recall that only ministers with memos to present at the FEC meeting are the ones statutorily allowed to be physically present at the designated FEC meeting.

Recall also that since the pandemic broke, many industrialized countries of the world have resorted to the method of conducting government business using digital tools especially Webex which is quite popular in the United States, Canada and most European countries .
