The State government announced this update via the Kaduna State verified Twitter handle. The tweet from the Kaduna state government reads:
“Malam Nasir has been notified of more positive Covid-19 test results of persons close to him, including an immediate family member and senior officials of the Kaduna State Government. As a precaution, he is in self-isolation pending a test by Sunday.”
Recall that this is not the first time Governor El-Rufai would be going on self-isolation arising from fears of possible COVID-19 infection. Not too long ago, he went on self-isolation for a while.
Similarly, this latest move is coming amidst reports and statements by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 to the effect that a second wave of the pandemic in Nigeria, is at hand.
The PTF has consequently asked all to observe the protocols associated with the COVID-19.
