The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed that the country recorded 184 new cases of COVID-19 cases in 21 states and the federal capital territory (FCT) on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. 

This brings the total number of infections of coronavirus cases in the country to 4, 971 which is 29 cases short of 5000.

This was announced by the agency via its official verified Twitter handle on Wednesday night.

Six fresh deaths were recorded while a total of 111 recoveries were also recorded, bringing the country’s total to 1,070.

Lagos recorded its lowest number of cases in one week on Wednesday with 51 confirmed cases followed by Jigawa and Bauch with 23 and 16 cases respectively.

Katsina, Kano, FCT, and Rivers States had 16, 14, 10, and 10 cases respectively. Kwara followed with 9 cases, Delta 5, Kaduna, 5, and Sokoto with 4 cases. Oyo, Kebbi, Nasarawa, Osun and Ondo had 4, 3, 3, 2 cases respectively.

6 states, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Anambra, Plateau, and Niger States all have one case each.

As of May 13, 2020, 4,971 cases have been confirmed in 34 states and the FCT.
