The rampaging Coronavirus has pushed its way through the far-flong Northwest state, Sokoto, Governor Aminu Tambuwal confirmed the development Monday.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country, the state has not recorded a case before now.

The governor also revealed that the patient is receiving treatment at the Usmanu Danfodio teaching Hospital in Sokoto.

Currently, Nigeria has 665 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, with Lagos as the epicentre, with 376 confirmed cases.

So far, 188 people have been treated and discharged while 22 deaths have been recorded.
