As the Warri monarch, HRM Ogiame Atuwatse III, Olu of Warri kingdom celebrates his first year anniversary on the throne, the Executive chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Capt. Smart Yomi Asekutu, has congratulated the royal father, assuring him that with the help of God the area which forms part of his dormain will continue to experience peace and harmony.

Asekutu who gave this assurance in Warri when he paid a visit to the royal father in his palace on the occasion of his one-year anniversary celebration on the throne, applauded the monarch for his fatherly, passionate and non-tribal approach to leadership, adding that since he mounted the throne, the relationship among different tribes in the Local Government Area has become more cordial than ever.

The Warri North Council boss, while congratulating the Monarch on his very successful first year anniversary celebration, prayed God to grant him a longer reign than his predecessors, adding that God will continue to answer his prayers, especially for the sake of the people He has placed under him as his subjects.

“On behalf of the Warri North local government and people of Warri North Itsekiris, I warmly celebrate with His Royal Majesty, Olu of Warri Ogiame Atuwatse III, on the occasion of his one- year coronation anniversary.

“Since you mounted the throne, I have not seen any division even in the area of tribe. We are your sons and we will do everything humanly possible to maintain peace in that section of your kingdom with the help of God. And so, today, we are here to celebrate with you; we are here to continue to appreciate God for all that we have experienced and we are rejoicing. We will continue to rejoice.

“At this point, I will continue to pray that Warri kingdom and its people will continue to prosper in your reign. And as the father of all, each time you pray, God will answer your prayer because God put you there and He will help you to succeed. And everything you ask from Him, He will give to you for the sake of the people He has put under your Majesty.

“Permit me to also pray that this throne, it is our desire and it is our prayer that you will live longer than anybody that had sat on this throne before in the name of God, the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

“We pray that the Almighty God will continue to grant you more wisdom and divine health to continue serving mankind,” Asekutu said.

Responding, His Royal Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, thanked the Council chairman for the visit just as he appreciated his compliments and prayers. The Warri monarch said he was encouraged by what is going on generally, urging the chairman to continue to maintain peace in the area.

“Thank you Mr. Chairman, you are welcome. Thank you very much and your entire team, you are all very welcome. You have taken time to drive down here, I appreciate you very much. And I really like, not only what you said, but how you said it and I’m further encouraged by what is going on generally”, the Monarch said.
