The Provost of Zamfara State College of Agriculture located in Bakura, Zamfara, Alhaji Habibu Mainasara has been abducted by gunmen suspected to be bandits.
The New Diplomat gathered that the Provost was picked by the bandits at his official residence within Government Science Secondary School, Bakura around 2.00am on Sunday.
A teacher at Government Science Secondary School Bakura, Mohammed Kabi and one other boy whose identity was yet-to-be ascertained were also kidnapped.
The incident was confirmed to journalists by the elder brother of the provost, Nasiru Mainasara.
“Nobody knows his whereabouts and the gunmen have not opened up for communication,” Mainasara reportedly said.
