Fans of the hugely successful 2018 comedy ‘Chief Daddy’ is in for a second dose of laughter, humor, and entertainment if the word of media mogul, Mo Abudu is anything to go by.

According to the owner of Ebonylife Films, the production outfit of the movie, Netflix has given a nod for the feature film to be released exclusively to the streamer.

Mo Abudu made the exciting announcement via Instagram on Thursday, July 30.

Hear her, “Good morning beautiful people. I did promise you loads of exciting announcements in July, and in keeping with that promise, I have one more announcement to make before we end July…I am pleased to announce that EBONYLIFE FILMS, the Creators and Producers of Chief Daddy in Partnership with NETFLIX will be bringing you CHIEF DADDY 2 !!!” she wrote.

The media mogul also revealed that the sequel which will be directed by Niyi Akinmolayan (‘The Wedding Party 2’, ‘Chief Daddy’) will be available on Netflix in 2021. Its star-studded cast including Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwo, Joke Silva, Kate Henshaw, Funke Akindele among others will also reportedly stage a comeback.
