Chelsea have confirmed the signing of an Inter midfielder Cesare Casadei.

This was confirmed via a post on their official website on Twitter @ChelseaFC.

The 19-year-old arrives at Stamford Bridge for an initial fee of €15 million, with a possible €4.8m to follow in bonus payments.

It was also learnt that Casadei is on a six-year contract, which is in line with the club’s new policy of handing young prospects lengthy deals in order to secure their future.

Ligue 1 side Nice also held a serious interest in the player.
